Nominations for the 2020 awards is now closed! All nominations received going forward will be considered for 2021. 

The SAVT presents the following awards each year: Appreciation Award, Conference Appreciation Award, Emerging Leader Award, Graduating Year Veterinary Technologist Award, Merck Mentorship Award, RVT of the Year, Veterinarian of the Year, and Volunteer Award.

APPRECIATION AWARD:

The Saskatchewan Association of Veterinary Technologists has an award available – to acknowledge support, recognition and ongoing development of the awareness of our association.

Please provide the name or names of individuals, and/or corporations who you feel have provided such service to the Saskatchewan Association of Veterinary Technologists. These can include executive members, pharmaceutical representatives, etc.

The award will be presented at the November AGM and Conference Banquet program.

Nominees will be contacted and informed of their nomination.

Please write an outline of why you believe the person you have recommended is deserving of this award, as well as all contact information for both parties.

 

 

 

SAVT TECHNOLOGIST OF THE YEAR:

Acknowledge the contributions of an outstanding Veterinary Technologist.

  • an active member of the SAVT
  • active in the field of Animal Health
  • made an outstanding contribution to their profession through their performance and dedication.
  • must not be a current executive member of the SAVT

 VETERINARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD:

The Saskatchewan Association of Veterinary Technologists invites you to nominate a Veterinarian who has been a great supporter of VT’s in their workplace.

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

Be an active member of the SVMA

 Be active in the field of Animal Health

Shows support for Veterinary Technologists nd/or helps promote the field of Veterinary Technology

The award will be presented at the November AGM and Conference Banquet program.

Nominees will be contacted and informed of their nomination.

Please write an outline of why you believe the person you have recommended is deserving of this award, as well as all contact information for both parties.

 

MERCK MENTORSHIP AWARD

The Merck Mentorship Award nominee will be selected based upon the following criteria: 
- made a significant contribution to the VT profession through their outstanding colleague and/or student mentorship activities
- excellent workplace performance and dedication to the VT profession
- facilitated VT students and/or RVT colleagues in acquiring the skills and resources needed to succeed as professionals 
- been a current Active or Lifetime member of the SAVT 
- a minimuim of 10 years of Active membership within a VT association
